An estimate written before the panel comes off is not an estimate. We find the actual fault first, because the difference between a $30 part and a $2,000 replacement is not something to guess at on a customer's behalf.
Old equipment is not automatically dead equipment
There are a lot of twenty-five-year-old furnaces in Pine County running perfectly well. Age alone is not a reason to replace something. A cracked heat exchanger is. We will tell you which situation you are actually in.
Sizing beats efficiency ratings
An oversized 96% furnace installed carelessly will cost you more and comfort you less than a correctly sized 80% one. We do the heat-loss calculation because it is the part that actually determines whether you are warm.
Say the honest thing about drive time
